When JJ awoke he looked around the room and immediately jumped to his feet. The room was small about the size of a jail cell. He walked to the door and tried the handle. Locked just like he expected. He studied the room. A bed and a chair were the only thing in the room. He walked around and found no weapons and no way out but the door. He walked over and hit the door and turned around to lean up against it. Only he didn’t stop at the door. With a cry of surprise he fell thru the door and into the hallway. He jumped up and found himself staring at the outside of the door. But the door was still closed and locked. He walked toward the door and walked right thru it. He thought for a second and realized that he had the ability to walk thru walls. His second gift just kicked in. Then he began to wonder if anymore abilities were going to emerge. He walked back to the door and peeked his head out and looked both ways and saw a guard he hadn’t noticed before walking away from his room. The guy turned around at the end of the hall and started back toward his room. JJ pulled his head back just enough to see out and when the guard passed he stepped all the way out and hit the guy in the back of the head hard enough to knock him out. He pulled the guys gun from its holster and put it in his own and picked up the guys legs and dragged him thru the door into the room and dropped him. He looked toward the door and realized he hadn’t even opened it. Apparently if someone was touching him he could take them thru walls as well. This would be useful if Jessica’s room was locked like his was. And without his walkie-talkie it would be impossible to get Kevin to help him. He left the room and started walking the way the guard had been coming from and peeked into each room as he passed. About three rooms down he found Jessica lying on a bed. He stepped all the way in and walked to her side. He dropped to a knee beside her bed and reached out to wake her. Jessica rolled over and threw a punch that nearly collided with JJ’s head as he jumped back instinctively. Jessica jumped up and saw it was him and said, “What happened, where are we. Wait a minute. How did you get in her?”
   JJ walked over to the door and said, “Check this out.” He walked out of the room thru the wall and came back in. “Got my second gift,” he said triumphantly, “and I can take whoever is touching me thru the walls too.”
   Jess walked over to him and said, “Then I say we blow this pop stand, find the doc, and get the hell out of here before they realize we’ve escaped. And we should find some weapons.” JJ grabbed her arm and walked thru the wall. He expected Jessica to come thru the wall as well and was surprised when he got yanked back. His arm was still thru the wall and he felt Jessica’s arm in his hand. He walked back thru the wall and saw Jessica rubbing her head, and when she saw him she asked, “What the hell did you do that for?”
   JJ thought for a moment and said, “Take my hand in yours and try walking thru the wall.” When Jessica took his hand she looked skeptical as she walked toward the wall. JJ joined her and they passed thru without further incident. JJ said, “Well, I guess we have to have skin contact for it to work properly.”
   Jessica said, “Sooner or later all guys say that,” and grinned at him. Then they headed for the room that they had first spoken to Dr. Craver in.
